Can the performing arts be the right place to experiment with new forms of community where an alliance of different bodies can exist? Freedom and the body are the core elements of BODIES OF LIBERATION, a meeting with Clara Furey, Eva Geatti, Harald Beharie, Ilenia Caleo, Mélissa Guex, Silvia Calderoni.
We will talk about potentially revolutionary corporealities and how to take care of our bodies. Tiredness, pleasure, closeness, rebellion and aggression are some of the themes through which we will observe how bodies function in private and public spaces. We want to address the performers’ bodies, their function in artistic and creative processes and the relationship between corporeality and community. We will try to determine whether the performing arts are the right place to experiment with new forms of community in which an alliance of different bodies can exist.
