The work of Andrew Graham of L’autre Maison Co. is a tribute to Tunis and the diversity of its inhabitants. The amateur and professional dancers, both disabled and non-disabled, gathered around the artist to form a human community mobilized to make the city accessible to all our singularities.
For the opening of the Dream City festival 2023, the creation takes the form of a festive parade through the city, its neighborhoods, its places of the ordinary, welcoming all those who wish to join the joyful procession, in the wake of a piano carried in order to create the space of the dance.
For the performance, the group compositions then meet dazzling solos that ask us about how the group encourages and supports the presence, friction and expression of bodies in the city, in an inclusive way. What a joy to witness the birth of a new artistic language and new modes of existence in movement!
